Another Missy!

So today when I logged on, I got told that there was an imposter Missy on the server and not long after I saw the so called person spamming trade for this guild that they had made. Was not happy :( I had been the only one on that server for nearly 4 years and now someone else has the practically same name apart from the i is spelt with 2 dots over. Made it even worse they was making themselves out to be a bit dumb so another strike for me. I've been whispered and asked if I was that person. DISLIKE!

On a better note, Virgin Media/BLizzard/Telia, whoever it was, has seemed to of finally fixed the problem that was making the game pretty much unplayable for the last 7 days near enough. I got my first taster of a rated battleground which we won and hopefully, fingers crossed, that the lag doesn't come back tomorrow night and I'll be able to finally see what the raids in cataclysm look like for myself and not from strategy videos I've watched on Youtube

Dailies achievements

With all the new dailies released, I've been trying to get a few of the achievements to go with them. For the quest Have... Have We Met? I've been using this macro:
/tar linken
/tar chromie
/tar thassarian
/tar nat pagle
/tar mankrik
/tar hemet nesingwary
/stopmacro [noexists]
/wave

Nearly got them all just waiting for them last few. I managed to get the Flawless Victory achievement too while having the stupidly high MS, took some time to get the timing right with avoiding the stomp wit the lag but got it in the end. Just doing the here Fireside Chat one and everyone who tries this be sure to get Dorda'en Nightweaver as he vanishes in later stages.

High MS again... YAY! -.-

So once again I've had another day of unplayable game thanks to problems between Virgin Media, Telia or Blizzard. I don't know who is to blame as each party seems to blame each other for the problems. Whenever I log my main character or pretty much every one of my characters my MS shoots up to 2k or higher. The highest I had was when I was meant to be joining the alt/social raid and it hit 9k. I won't go on about this as I'm sure everyone has heard enough of the QQ that has been going round on forums. I've rung Virgin Media and didn't get much help from them and I've left messages on forums, so now to wait and just hope it gets sorted out. For now I'll carry on a new hunter I made on Darkmoon Faire as it seems to be the only one with less then 100 MS.

God I hate Virgin Media

Well today the times that I have logged on to play, my MS has been at 2000 or more and its only been the world MS, my home one has been fine all day staying between 20-30 MS. Looking on the technical forums and there were a few other posts saying the same and everyone has in common that they were with Virgin Media. So once again they strike and would be the day I get to see a raid as I got invited to the social/alt run with my guild tonight.
Someone had written a fix but sadly for me it didn't work, it started to work good but after half an hour it just went up again, so I reset that back to normal again. It would be nice for these problems to stop as they appear often.

One good thing came out of it though, I was gonna go fishing but then I thought the timing would of been all screwy with the MS bouncing around and I tried playing on alts but the cast times was annoying me too much so I went round and finally finished collecting all the fossil fragments for [Fossilized Raptor]

Looks pretty :)

20 Days of WoW Blogging Challenge: Day 6

I've just realised I missed the day 4 question and went straight to day 5 so I've just switched it round kinda so now it's all back to normal!

Day 6- Your best Wow memory
I have 2, the race for the Lich King 25 heroic realm first with the horde side. They got it the week before us but some nights were so close and the adrenaline while being on the fights were just awesome! My other best memory is the first time I killed Illidan in the Burning Crusade. It was just a great experience and the whole fight was so fun.

A bit of surveying mixed with a bit of trolls

I was in one of them moods in WoW where I didn't want to level much but I also didn't want to have not do anything so while deciding out of which alt to play, I decided to log my old main character, Missy, and went and did a bit of archaeology on her, to which I now got 375 skill and also started collecting the fossils so I can get me the raptor mount! Woop woop! One more reason to log on her now.
While I was going round doing this a guildy asked about a healer/dps for the troll heroics as he was doing a guild/friends run using the cross realm group so I said I'd come, by this point I had to be a "fail" dps as I had the spec for elemental but no gear really, and I had a laugh. It was nice, fun and relaxing. No one bitching about how slow things were, no one bitching about wiping, insulting everyone or ninja looting. Awesome, and they put up with my kinda lame DPS <3.

My main has got a hell of a load of achievement points too (it's around 1100) as I was quite the achievement whore back in cataclysm when I had nearly all the time in the world on her, so it was hard work partly. Even got loremaster before it got made a lot easier to complete. I'm hoping to be able to join one of the alts/social guild raids they do so I can see what the raids in cataclysm look like and to add a few sneaky points.

There are some really odd noises coming from my next door neighbours...

Right... anyway, I also did some PVP on my level 70 hunter so she has got the level 70 pvp sets to go into Northrend with. Not that she didn't have much as I have the BOA gear on her but, it looked pretty so I thought what the hell, and pvping on a character which isn't healing makes a nice change too.

20 Days of WoW Blogging: Day 5

Day 5- Your Workplace/desk (photo and/or description)
Well, job number 1 is being a mother but I don't think of it as a job at all, I love it! Especially as she's now started to smile, I could sit and watch her do that all day and seeing as I don't currently work I don't exactly have anything to take a photo of. If anything I would say that my home is my workplace as I have to do all the ironing, the cooking, the cleaning, the washing, tidying up after children (yes the boyfriend is included in that)... the list could go on.

Gnomeregan... /scared!

Today I decided to play on my protection paladin and with her being level 26, I decided to join a dungeon for a quick go. I open up the screen and I notice when hovering the cursor above the mouse the only option if I go random is Gnomeregan... I know I could of picked one of the others going through the specific dungeons options but less XP from the random, anways, it took me about 5 minutes to finally decide it might be ok, I might have a good group, I might join right at the end, so I clicked join queue and a moment later I got the tank option come up /pray.
In the group, I have a rogue, a mage, a shaman and a resto druid. The run was going quite well to be honest apart from a rogue that kept chain pulling and annoying the healer even when they kept asking him for the tank to pull or when he said mana break, the rogue was there at the next group already attacking them. Quite annoying really. I felt completely lost in there as it had been a long, long time since I had entered that place as all I had bad memories and of it taking forever, about 10 minutes later we was at the last boss, it had gone so fast. He was killed achievement gotten now I can get the hell out of there. I was too busy saying thanks and leaving the party I forgot to hand in the quest there so I had to go back again. This run was a millions times smoother or it felt it anyway. I got me [Thermaplugg's Central Core] woop woop, so I think my fear has now gone of the place, but I think I'd rather go to most other dungeons other then that one.

20 Days of WoW Blogging Challenge: Day 4

Day 4- Favourite item(s) in game
I have to choose 2 and they're sets, 1 is the priest tier 5 and the other is the shaman tier 6. I still have my full tier 6 in my bank I don't think I could ever get rid of it.

20 Days of WoW Blogging Challenge: Day 3

Day 3- Your first day playing WoW
I remember seeing the Night Elf in the opening cinematic for the game and just thought "I want that!". So straight to the character page, then I had to decide between a rogue or druid, in the end I picked a rogue and called her Aurrora. I joined on the Steemweedle Cartel server to begin with as 2 of my RL friends, including the one who brought me the game, was playing on. This was also the first MMO I had ever played and to me everything was just pure magic. I loved how everything looked and I liked the idea of being basically a noob to be honest. The Teldressil quest, the runes of awakening (I think it was called) where you had to go into the den with all these furblongs, I remember it taking me forever to finish that quest as all I did was keep dying over and over. It was also the lunar festival when I joined, so being nosey I went around looking in Moonglade and what was happening there. I had one of my friends come see me to give me some bags and money (bless him) to help me out. He played a paladin at the time and was in the Karazhan gear and I just thought he looked awesome in it.

20 Days of WoW Blogging Challenge: Day 2

Day 02- Why you decided to start a blog
I decided to start a blog as reading other people's has always fascinated me, and while I have some spare time between housework, babies, and day to day things (and also cause right now the weather is poo) I would use some of it to write out thoughts.

20 Days of WoW Blogging Challenge: Day 1

So after a little revamp now I had a little bit more time, I saw on a blog this blogging challenge post which looked like fun and would give me something to keep filling in my blog inbetween levelling.
It begins!

Day 1- Introduce yourself
I'm Rhiannon (or Rie as I'm known as to most people now). I'm 24 years old and I live with my boyfriend in Lincoln in the UK. I have 2 beautiful little girls. I used to work at ASDA but I'm being a full time mum until the youngest grows up but in the time I will be doing a french course.
I'm a True Blood freak, I love the TV series and the books, they kept me sane during my pregnancy. I like reading, I've read a book sometimes from the beginning and gotten so into it that next time I've looked up the sun is already starting to rise. I've also started to get the Warcraft comics and been reading the manga as I really enjoy the lore behind it.
I love cooking too, especially making cakes. Cupcakes to be more precise. Love them!
My favourute film is Inception closely followed by Se7en and the Matrix. I love most types of music, during the year I go from preferring different types to others. Like at the moment, I prefer rock and heavy metal as Download and Sonisphere have just been and I went to Sonisphere the 2 years before. I been to see more live bands too since Lincoln gained a new live venue which has been pretty cool. One of the best I've seen there was Chase and Status, that was pretty epic. 30 seconds to Mars was amazing too, and being able to see Jared Leto /drool.
I like shopping but not really for clothes, more for stuff in my house. I can be like a magpie and go straight for anything shiny.

80 heroics!

Today I decided was the turn of my blood elf rogue for a little bit of love with her levelling. I got her to ding 80 last night and thought that I hadn't seen a WOTLK dungeon in a while so tried my luck in queuing for them through the LFG option. I wasn't expecting to get any success really but after 10 minutes I got a group. We went through Utgarde Keep, The Oculus (the one we all dreaded), Draktharon Keep and Gun'drak heroics. I really wanted to get the ICC 5 man ones really but ah well. It was a bit a of nice change in scenery in a way after spending so long in the new heroics gearing myself in them. I'll be sad in a way when it comes to level 81 as I won't be able to queue for them any longer, but roll on the being that little closer to 85!
I also tried to get my boyfriend to have a try at playing WoW. He picked a hunter and kept thinking he had chosen a warrior for ages, but he lasted til level 6 of playing when he decided that was it and he didn't like it, so he can stick with his Fifa and Portal games and I'll stick to my game

On a different note... ZOMG! wasn't Torchwood good tonight?! I've heard mixed reviews about it from others but to me I thought it was pretty amazing. Only little thing is that it's a bit too Americanised but about from that I loved it!

The general introduction post

So hi! I'm Missy (this is the name I'll be using until, if ever, I have a new character to use as main), I did play a restoration shaman for a few years til I retired her recently and instead spend my time try out different classes and playing on my low level alts til I find one I really enjoy. So far I've been spreading my time between a mage, a hunter and a paladin. I haven't ever blogged before  so now to see if I can manage to continue this and to keep it going.
I've just gotten to Duskwood on these characters, yes I picked Alliance >.<, slap me on the wrist and so on. I prefer playing Horde but I seem to choose 1 of 2 races, the Blood Elves or the Undead, I can't seem to manage the other races. Orc is just a no no to me. I've tried playing a cow but I'm not so sure, it's like something about it I don't like so deleted that. Then we come to trolls... no actually I do like them, I managed to get a druid to lvl 15 before I stopped. I am determined to level that druid! Just so I can go around like a bat but still!
So yeah, my little characters have now arrived in Duskwood, and that has to be one of my favourite quest areas, even better that there's 2 flight paths cos the run back and forth was a pain in the ass. I enjoy the lore of World of Warcraft and the quests in this place I always enjoyed, no matter how many times I've done them. I'm dreading using the LFG system at the moment as the name Gnomeregan appeared and that place holds bad memories on ages of wiping and the long run it used to take to get there, so I'm avoiding it like the plague.
So back to levelling and for now ciao!
